These terms apply when you use our websites, join our mailing list, enter a promotion we run, or buy from us. By using our sites or taking up an offer, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the sites.
It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18. Penalties apply.
By using our sites, joining our list, or accepting an offer from us, you confirm you are 18 or over. We may ask for proof of age at any time, including on delivery, and we may refuse service if it is not provided.
If you give us your details and agree to receive marketing, we will send you wine news, offers and event invitations.
We may occasionally send you a message about an order you have placed, or something that affects it. These are not marketing messages and you will receive them regardless of your marketing preference.
From time to time we run promotions, including offers made at events and tastings. Unless the offer says otherwise:
Where an offer includes food or a tasting at the cellar door, it is subject to our opening hours and to availability on the day. We recommend you check before travelling.
Cellar door opening hours are published on our website and may change, particularly around public holidays and vintage.
We serve alcohol under a Victorian liquor licence and in accordance with responsible service of alcohol obligations. We may refuse service to any person who is intoxicated, or who cannot show they are 18 or over.
Where an event requires a booking, your booking is confirmed only when we confirm it. Cancellation terms will be told to you at the time of booking.
We take care to describe our wines accurately. Wine is an agricultural product and vintages vary. Labels, alcohol content and tasting notes may differ slightly between vintages.
We deliver within Australia. An adult aged 18 or over must be present to accept delivery and may be asked for proof of age. Alcohol will not be left unattended.
Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by our freight partners or by events outside our control.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
If a wine is faulty, corked or damaged in transit, contact us at [email protected] with your order details and we will make it right.
We are not obliged to provide a refund simply because you changed your mind or did not enjoy a wine, though we will always try to be reasonable.
You may use our sites for lawful personal purposes only. You must not interfere with the operation or security of the sites, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of them, use automated means to scrape or harvest content or contact details, or use them in a way that breaches any law.
We try to keep our sites available and accurate, but we do not guarantee they will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
All content on our sites, including text, images, labels, branding and the Carlei name, is owned by us or licensed to us. You may not reproduce or use it commercially without our written permission.
To the extent permitted by law, and other than the consumer guarantees described in section 8, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our sites, our products or our services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time you use it is the version that applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
